Three Up, Again! TdF25-23
Just like in Stage 2, it was Mathieu Van Der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck), Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) and Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) coming to the line together on an uphill sprint to the finish. Stage 2 Van Der Poel got the best of the other two and claimed the Maillot Jaune that is still on his shoulders. It would seem that he would have the better sprint over to the two GC guys behind him, but then, how much energy did he burn to rejoin them in the closing kilometers of the stage. Just behind this trio is Oscar Onley (Picnic-PostNL) and Romain Gregoire (Groupama-FDJ) desperately trying to get on terms.
