Nairo Quintana (Movistar) looks back over his shoulder as he rounds a hairpin turn on his way up to Oropa. Quintana had jumped off the front of the peloton in hoping to grab back time on the Maglia Rosa of Tom Dumoulin (Team Sunweb). Quintana was in second place overall, but would much prefer to pull back on the leader's pink jersey that he wore for one day already. The climb was lined with fans cheering on their heros and drinking a bit of beer and wine. Today was the first time I have ever notice port-o-johns set up along the roadside. Seems a lot better than what I thought normally happens on these days.
