Mutual Respect TDF19-128

I love this gesture between teammates, Egan Bernal (Ineos) and Geraint Thomas. Thomas would surely have loved to repeat his Tour victory from last year, but yet he saluted his teammate in genuine respect. The team regularly cross the line arm in arm at the back of the peloton, perhaps because of Bernal's competitive spirit, he wanted to be close, just to avoid lossing any seconds whatsoever. Listen, better safe than sorry. So these two are also first and second in this Tour. Bernal also takes home the Maillot Blance, with Peter Sagan in the Maillot Vert, and the Frenchman Romain Bardet takes home the Maillot a Pois. Don't forget Julian Alaphilippe, he was awarded the most aggressive rider of the 2019 Tour de France. Chapeau to everyone who started the Tour, and a deeper bow to those who finished it.
