Chris Froome (Team Sky) has been gaining seconds, if not minutes, on most every stage since his daredevil descent in the Pyrenees. Today, it was not much of a surprise that he was able to add time to all of his GC rivals. He may not have been sprinting into the finish line for the stage victory, that honor went to Tom Dumoulin (Giant-Alpecin), but he was sprinting to add seconds to his overall lead. The feeling in the Sky team bus seems to be that if we can get enough of a lead on the others, they will be less likely to attack us in the Alps. It has proven near impossible to gain any time on the Maillot Jaune since it first went onto the shoulders of Froome. It will be even more difficult to pull back minutes on the well coached and highly motivated Team Sky and its team leader.
