Salvatori Pucci took the Maglia Rosa when Team Sky won the Team Time Trial on Stage Two, apparently he was more of a time trialist and flat stage rider, today's second mountain climb was too much for him. He ended the day losing about 3 minutes on the stage winner. Team Sky was severely challenged by a number of riders in the peleton on the last climb of the day and the following descent. So now the jersey has been passed to another rider on another team. The Italians can hold their head high as two out of the three jersey wearers have been Italian.
